Command Reference Guide Global Configuration Mode Command Set

event-history priority <priority>

Use the event-history priority command to set the threshold for events stored in the event history. All

events with the specified priority or higher will be kept for viewing in the local event log. The event log

may be displayed using the show event-history command. Use the no form of this command to keep

specified priorities from being logged.

Syntax Description

Sets the minimum priority threshold for logging messages to the event history

The following priorities are available (ranking from lowest to highest):

4 - Information

When priority 4 is selected, all events (priorities 0 through 4) are logged.

3 - Notice

When priority 3 is selected, events with priority 3, 2, 1, or 0 are logged.

2 - Warning

When priority 2 is selected, events with priority 2, 1, or 0 are logged.

1 - Error

When priority 1 is selected, events with priority 1 or 0 are logged.

0 - Fatal

When priority 0 is selected, only events with priority 0 are logged.

Default Values

By default, no event messages are logged to the event history.
