show ip ospf database
Use the show ip ospf database command to display information from the OSPF database regarding a
specific router. There are several variations of this command which you can use to obtain information
about different OSPF link state advertisements. The variations are shown below:
show ip ospf <area-id> database
show ip ospf <area-id> database adv-router <ip address>
show ip ospf <area-id> database asbr-summary <link-state-id>
show ip ospf <area-id> database asbr-summary <link-state-id> adv-router <ip address>
show ip ospf <area-id> database database-summary
show ip ospf <area-id> database external <link-state-id>
show ip ospf <area-id> database external <link-state-id> adv-router <ip address>
show ip ospf <area-id> database network <link-state-id>

Syntax Description
<area id>
*Optional
Area ID number associated with the OSPF address range. This range is defined
in the network router configuration command used to define the particular area.

<link-state-id>
*Optional
This ID number identifies the portion of the internet environment that is being
described by the advertisement. The value needed in this field is tied to the
advertisement’s LS type.
<ip address>
Enter in the form <A.B.C.D>.
